As for the actual quote: Changing a bumper is a standard routine in the technical information system so all the things like brackets, badge, etc. are listed automatically, not because the guy at the parts counter wants to take the piss.

Ford do take the piss mate, a MK2 ST front bumper from them is, and i shit you not, £700, i know a lad who got a quote for one not long ago, i ended up getting him one from a mate who breaks ST's for £60.

i knew before he brought the quote that main dealers will just replace the whole bumper, but the car could be returned to its original standard for a lot less. but as i said above, i have no problem with neighbour doing it, id do EXACTALY the same, it isnt even a year old, i just think that suzuki, although, again, as i said, are a business, are taking the piss with things that dont need replacing, and also the ten hours labour is evidently a piss take.
