Doesn't really phase me at all i drive the way i see the road fit for at that time, I'm a very carefull driver but i have moment's, I'm nicknamed "miss daisy".
I think at the end of the day pedestrians are just as bloody stupid as some driver's out there, Walking across a road with light's or crossing etc!
I love the way blame is shifted to the driver, I remember the "green cross code" at my middle school and i tell you if that was still about then people would be so dumb to walk out into the road!
I could be wrong it could still been taught (green cross code) but it take's to tango in everything in this life if you got a stupid pedestrian then an accident could happen, If you have a stupid driver an accident could happen,
i agree that too much of the time its put down to speed. i honestly believe that speed does not kill, its the driver driving beyond the limits of themselves/the car/the road/conditions that kills not the speed itself! however, that compilation is as much about driver awareness and making stupid decisions as it is about speed.
i also agree with you on pedestrians. in hatfield i was driving past a kids school at kicking out time with only one car in front of me and we were doing 20-25 mph. i was in my modded escort with LOUD exhaust, car in front passed a load of pedestrians (parents with little kids) waiting to cross and then without lucking a women with a young child stepped out in the road infront of me! (it was at a shickane aswell so only 1 lane wide!) i did an emegency stop but by the time my car had stopped she was level with my drivers door!!! luckily she had only taken one step and not 2 otherwise she and her shild would have been under my car!!!
still, would have been one for the Darwin awards but i bet i would have been presecuted!!
