i'm not much of a bufty fan and i rarely polish a car "properly", but i've bought the Mrs a Lexus IS200. Its in need of a proper good polish to get rid of blemishes and swirl marks

so, what do you guys recommend (products) and the steps i need to take?. i dont want to be doing it for 2 days but i dont mind a few hours. Bearing in mind i have no polishing machine either, so it will be just elbow grease.
