She was layed down at the garage door, gone.

She hadn't been too badly injured, it looked like she had been grabbed round the middle by something (no visible woulds, just wet ruffled fur) and had scuffed claws and fur all in her mouth and claws.

It was probably shock or a heart attack, or being shook.

Fur was white so thought maybe a fox had hold of her, there are a few round our area.

As my Da was wrapping her up in a towel a white and grey male husky came trotting up the road and went straight towards where we found her, it didn't take long to put 2 and 2 together especially when we saw blood round the dogs muzzle and eye.

We took him into the garden, gave him some water and tried to get hold of the proper authorities but noone could do anything till 9am. (council, RSPCA, police)

About 7am someone from the council called us as someone in our area (about a mile and a half away) had reported a husky missing.

Dad called him, he described the dog perfectly (including his collar with no ID tag) so we told him where to come get him.

The dog owner was absolutely beside himself when we told him what had happened.

He works at a RAF base and had got in off nights, let his 2 huskies out, gone back out 5 mins later to find one gone with no sign of escape.

I dont blame the dog at all, hes just been acting on instinct.

At the end of the day he's someones pet, he was well behaved with me, he sat, stayed, laid down...But he managed to clear our 6ft fence when his owner arrived (he heard his masters voice and cleared it to come meet him round the front)

We had her about 7 years (got her from a rescue shelter as she'd been abandoned) and she was the most affectionate cat I've ever known.

Poor little bugger

Only bad thing about having pets is having to say goodbye

RIP Phoebe.
