if its a four cylinder 2.3 then it will be a different bolt pattern, all cologne v6 and 24v rwd have the same bolt pattern, definatly the stronger box, i have put 2 mtx75 boxes in mk3/4 escorts for the same reasons of reliability. i dont know why anyone persists with the old bc box, except its easy to just bolt in.
