Default why do companies try and wriggle out of warranty work?

called gap security to find out what they could do about the alarm going bonkers, draining the battery, not working, not unlocking the doors etc and they said that without the bit of paper they couldn't help me

fair enough

so i spent 2 weeks looking for this bit of paper and failed

so i rang them back again and, to be fair, the guy asked me where i lived and said it was this bolke and gave me his number

so i called him up and talked through what was going wrong

without that bit of paper though, it's £150 call out charge

and then he said it was the factory alarm that was causing the problem

the fact that the factory alarm stopped working when he fitted the cat 1 sort of didn't register and even though he talked me through a few options, ultimatly he said it was the ford alarm being broken and the cat 1 going off because of it

am i wrong in asking them to fix it because it's not the factory alarm that was causing the problem for the past 6 weeks, and now it won't shut up, the cat 1 keeps on screaming away, i can't find the paperwork and, to top it all off, sky want £30 delivery charge for the 1tb box

so who can figure out what the fuck is going on? or do i just bite the bullet and fuck the cat 1 one off and get another one fitted?

can't fucking sleep because the bastard thing goes off at random times of the day and night

i know what you are thinking, did he come back just to have a rant, but secretly, you know you've missed me
