If I used it for work it'd need a litre a week easily.. Bit of a smoker!

Every cossie I had drank oil, used to pi55 me off as they looked 5hite bellowing smoke on the over run.

Over run smoke isnt oil, it's fuel

has everyone routed there breathers to return back into the sump? might find a litre in your catch can if not!

it'll vary enormously from car to car, some might have big piston to bore clearance for forged pistons, some will have standard pistons, ring gaps blah blah....

Tabetha....theyre ARE seals in a turbo, Oil seals...metal ones. The only time oil will go past these is when they are worn, or there is crankcase pressure and you have no (or little) backpressure in the exhaust.

I think you mean you have UNDER piston oil spray jets, to cool the pistons. If you had oil firing directly into the combustion chamber, you'd need as much oil as fuel and you would have a very smokey engine! lol
