A girl i know got stopped for going over 100, the police had been following her for a while, they said the 97mph is the threshold really when it comes to losing your licence. They gave her 2 choices
1. Go to court, they will prove she was doing over 100, and she will lose her licence
2. Admit now that she was speeding and they will record her as only going 97mph and it can all be dealt with out of court with 6 points and a fine.
NEVER trust the old bill when they say that,,,,,, i had that before when i was speeding the line was " just admit your speeding and take the 3 points and fine or ill report you and attend court with my calibrated speedo and risk getting a ban"
i refused and said i wasnt speeding and id have to go to court,,,,,,, the copper sent me away with a warning pmsl
i also got away with doing over 110 in a 50 flashing old bill out of the way and leaving them,,,, and got a warning too but i was totally honest with them but thats cause there was fuck all i could do,,,,,, i was doing 130 at one point and was doing 110 on a bend testing to the handling of the car,,,, fuck using that as a excuse so i just said " nothing i can say that even i would belive"
back on daves thing,,,,,, 97 she might get between 3 to 6 points doubt a ban as thats generally over 105mph,,,,,, though she can try and be cheeky and ask for a speed awareness course,,,,,, you never know
