Why is it a joke? It's YOU that has £15k tied up in YOUR tools, not your company. Why should they foot the bill for something that isn't their property if they get stolen? That's like saying your company should buy you a new car if your's get stolen out of the carpark
Why don't you insure them yourself?
Id say it would be a joke if my life times worth of tools were not insured at work lol as it stands mine are by my work but if they wernt they would be provideing me with tools as i wouldent have them there!
