Reading will be less true, as it isn't absorbing heat from engine in the sump and being cooled by ambient air flow, personally I would use a adaptor in the oil pressure hole, can retain the std pressure switch also that way.
If you want to use a temp sensor in the drain plug, drill a 11/32 hole, then simply tap 1/8 NPT-27, the drill and tap will most likely cost less than a ebay one already done.
