I fucking hate that its parents income assessed as if you finish with the same degree as someone who gets the extra money/help you have the same job opportunities as them and the same ability to pay the loan back.

I don’t get my loan income assessed as my dad earns above the threshold and I’m bloody lucky he pays my rent cos otherwise I wouldn’t be able to afford it! AND at any time he could say no to paying my rent but I still wouldn’t be able to get any more student loan.

Same with ema, that is a load of shite. Half my friends who got it didn’t go to uni and it all went on paying for beer, fags and petrol!! Thats a huge waste of tax payers money!!!
