Karl, lob another cheap RST gearbox in it. I've stripped gears, yes, and smashed diffs but have never broken a Mainshaft clean in half like that so I bet it was a 'fluke'.
would agree with C there, if you look at the left hand shaft on the 2nd pic you can see the abnormality in the steel where its sheared. Take it back to ford, they have a 20 year warranty dont they
must admit im glad mine isnt running so I dont have this worry anymore!
