Exclamation Engine/Gearbox combination problem

Bought a blacktop zetec for mk4 conversion, and wanted to keep starter at rear so bought newer iB5 box too.

Problem i'm having is the sump seems to be the wrong shape for the gearbox. I think the engine came from a mondeo in its previous life so i assume its sump is for an mtx75?

The top half of bolts between gearbox and engine fit ok, but th bottom three just dont, the alloy part of sump is different shape, and the driver's side driveshaft coupling bit fouls the alloy sump.

Should i just cut the alloy sump to right shape or is there an alternative alloy section i can use?

Help/options needed, i really dont wanna go down the MTX conversion route as ive got entire gear kit and lsd for iB5!
