my mg maestro rally car keeps chewing up fuel pumps for some reason , (not while i have had it )

i dont want to have to retire from a rally due to this , so looking to buy and uprated bosch one , that my cossie has ,

but i`am unsure of what flow rate / rating etc would be suitable for my 2.0 efi

anyone know how to work this out or suggest a suitable pump?
