Being a welder myself i've never understood the prices garages quote for welding work.

My old mk4 fiesta got quoted £600 for the area near the rear beam mounts (sounds like where yours has failed) Was a couple of hours work for me to do, but no where near what i'd have to do to earn that amount as 2 weeks wages. Maybe i'm in the wrong job
