Totally different! LCD is backlit where as LED is not, hence why LED has much better contrast ratio and blacker blacks

Out of Plasma and LCD if your a heavy gamer of use your PC through your TV a lot then go LCD as Plasma suffers form burn in very easily, otherwise go Plasma for faster response times and better contrast ratio, saturation, and vibrance

FYI LED has all the advantages of Plasma over LCD but none of the disadvantages..... hence the heavy price tag!
