Your right LED' s are technically a member of the LCD family, the display on a LED is a liquid crystal display the same as it is on any other LCD but the main difference between the two lies with different backlighting technology which can change the picture quality characteristics dramatically!
Hence why I chose the LED but they can be a bit pricey.
but does the backlighting change the quality of the picture?
ive been installing and following tv's for a long time dude its not time to change over to LED's yet, and with panasonic putting abit more of pioneer's technology into each new model they bring out there way ahead of the game atm
