sounds more likely you are getting a sync error between the cam and crank sensors, just use a vernier pulley to get the sync back to where it should be, or move onto your autronic which allows you to change it anyway.
Have you seen the price on a vernier... We'll (you lol) can sort it out on the Autronic
Just to keep you posted I'll be taking some time off work in the coming month to get a load of shit done on the car, I'll wire in the Autronic as much as I can and give you a shout on a few things if it's ok then we can sort the mapping out
If it helps my mate has an N/A 3.0 v6 with cams running Omex, I could possibly get a copy of the map to make it easier to set the timing up, cold start, idle and shit
