What is the best way of getting a sensible price from the insurers.

She is fully comp and we recovered the car ourselfs, it did no damage to fences / walls / property or any 3rd party just wild trees.

We have lloked for rough prices on pistonheads etc, my mate was saying the there is a phrase to use - are you excersising my legal right to emdemnity or something similar that should make thaem pay a good book price.

Anybody got any past experiences on how to get a fair pay out, I only ask as it was not her fault, a combination between the road camber and a thin skim of mud.
