Rite guys i think ive got a bit of a problem with the oil pressure on my cab Its currently got a fairly new (under 3k mile) 'high pressure' oil pump from PJ motorsport.
When i start the car in the morning and let it idle i get arround 60Psi of oil pressure... (ie 60Psi @ cold idle)
now when ive been driving a while and the oil is getting up to temp say anywhere between 70-90 degrees then i get really shit pressure at idle.. ive seen it as low as 15 Psi! although its normally arround 25Psi which i still think is very low...
When motorway cruising or accelerating i see arround 40Plus psi of pressure....
ITs just at idle is crap...
Whats causing this... i know the oil will be 'thiunner' when warm and hence there will be less pressure... but it drops so dramatically!
Ive tried changing the oil and it does seem to improve the pressure but only by arround 5 Psi and then after 500 miles or so it will drop again
