it could be, my old rs2k was deffo front starter ,there are some weird mtx boxes tho mate i have one thats front starter rod linkage but hydraulic clutch got given it so have no idea what it came out of .
Ive seen one like that before, late mk1 Mondeo (possibly V6?) I think.
