Can any one advise me on a faulty turbo. I built a cosworth Anglia to go rallying. I purchased a (s114 t34 .55exhaust. marem shaft / incanel wast gate. Anti lag) off of turbo technics in Aug 2009. I have used it on 1 and half rallys (Aprox 100miles) and the turbo failed.
I limped back into servce, when removed the air filter found the nut on nose of the shaft sitting in the restrictor, with broken blades. When removed turbo Exhaust blades broken too.
Sent it back to turbo technics and they say a foreign body hit the exhaust blades caursing it to fail. Its going to cost me £1100 pounds to put right.
They are doing me a favoure at that cost as there is no warranty for motorsport.
They are implying my engine failed. There is nothing wrong with the engine good oil pres, no broken plug tips. etc.
Can anyone advise me what to do as this turbo cost a futune 6 months ago and cant justify spending another load of money to fix it.
As Turbo technics apparently dont warranty any turbos used for any kind of motorsport.
I wish i was told this before i bought it.!!!!!!!
