nice cars just shame about the 6k engine rebuilds though good thing about porsche cars is that EVERY part is available,,,, and same with gearbox parts and the specialists such as Jazz, and the one that porkie uses near hemel all know there way around cars and not just a buch of school leavers who bought a halfords socket set,,,,, most porsche specialists either sponser a race team or like in the case of Jazz are actually a race team who turned into a garage

3.6 aint a bad car to go for... average running costs tbh but the price of the car reflects that hence the 996 seems a billy bargain,,, but they are all the 3.4,,,, they can be so bad that TVR owners make fun of them pmsl
Brilliant advice, listen to everyword. I owned a gt3 kitted c2 for two years and was the best car i have ever owned (except the ecos) but a loud rattle that turned out to be somthing cheap and easy to fix, (after i got 5k+ quotes from people, so removed the motor myself) wich by the way was a pice off piss. I scared me, there a ticking bom, yes you can get all the bits but only some of the bits have been modded not to fail again wheres some havent, so wot could be a 5k build a year later it could happen again.

Its just the 996 3.4's tho (first watercooled ) the older 993 are the best but ask silly money but the 3.6 996 turbos a for resonable money now.
