CRB checks question
a mate of mine is looking to apply for a job in a council as a mechanical / electrical CAD technician, but because it will be working on school buildings they are saying he needs a CRB check. the job would not entail working with children, or having any contact with children.
he has a police caution from 4 yrs ago for affray, and another from 3 years ago for possession of class A's. but no other criminal record.
would these 2 cautions be enough to get him rejected from the job (he would admit them on the application form in the first place)
please no troll redneck answers or "what a fooking twat he should be locked away from kids" answers please, only reply if you have sensible relevant legal knowledge!
i just thought people on here will have convictions who have applied for jobs.
my cousin has a caution for affray but has successfully got jobs with CRB checks, but they didnt involve schools (he works in power station shutdowns testing welds)
