Hey everybody!
I own a spec 90 ford escort rs turbo and I want to tune it to achieve about 300 bhp. I'v already started to get some equipment but I still have a few doubts about the correct material to acquire and tune.
My base is the RS turbo converted to EFI management (OFAB) and:
- Accralite forged pistons (1,5 mm oversized, comp. ratio about 7,8:1);
- Con rods THS UK-Performance;
- GRS-Motorsport intercooler (large front model);
- Stage III head (Burton Power);
- Lightweighted and balanced crankshaft ando flywheel.
What do I need to acheive the pretended bhp (material and tunning[chip, mapping...etc]) with reliability, so I don't go 5k miles and get trip assistance
In my idea, this is the missing equipment I thought it would be enough but...I need to be certain about it so I dont spend all my cash wrongly:
- High pressure oil pump (Burton Power);
- ACL Bearings (big end and main);
- Kent cam double valve spring set;
- Newman camshaft sprint CVH turbo 1600 phase IV and solid lifters;
- Hybrid turbo exchange, 2wd cosworth YB (Burton Power) - stage II;
- Bosch fuel injectors 803 green;
- Power boost valve FSE;
- Cometic multi-shim head gasket;
- AP ARacing clutch kit CVH/Zetec 220mm four(cross) paddle;
- Bailey swirl pot;
- Bailey oil separator tank;
- Bailey header tank;
- Mongoos stainless steel exhaust system
...and...
- Forge Motorsport actuator (20-28 PSI enough???)
- Fuel pump (what model and where to buy???)
- My ECU suports anti-lag?
- what's the correct pressure for my comp. ratio and equipment?
- gearbox: can it handle?(1.6d fiesta gearbox with an 3.33 final drive)
Basicly: is this enough/correct? what else do I need? are there any special attention in all this material assembly?
Opinions/comments/ideas please...
