You could, but you could also fix your leaky DV first, that fact it speeded noticebaly shows it is leaking, is it a diaphragm type ?.
If you just set the idle a bit higher say 1000rpm and just hold for a few seconds when cold it will still idle lumpily.
If the fuelling is ok it can still start and idle from cold with no iscv, loads do, esp on differrent mappable ecu's.
