hi all, i have a 88 spec escort rs turbo. i have purchased a new alternator where the wiring is different is a bit differennt. just a quik question about the loom....

i have found out where the 2 b+ wires go on the alternator, but i am thinking of renewing the wires from alternator to battery as these are old. do they go straight from B+ on alt to battery+ or do they go off somewhere else in the loom first??

does the alternator need to be grounded or does it get good enuf earth off engine.

and there is a smaller wire that goes to dash bulb, my dash bulb does not work, does this need to be wired for the alt to charge the battery or is this solely for the warning light?
