It wasnt anything like some of the estates these days, which im greatful I didnt grow up on, not just in big cities but even down in rural england, I have a friend who lives on one and its full of drug users and people who commit crime and is just generally shit (although ironically is all white before you start mentioning somalians etc again, lol)
I had as good an upbringing as my parents could afford, I didnt go without, but I certainly wasnt born with a silver spoon like you have said, but likewise I wasnt brough up in a "ghetto" either.
Just a relatively pleasant lower class upbringing basically.

i think the type of council estates and council areas depend on where you are. you know roughly where i am and its gateway here for dumping the worlds finest i mean scummiest lol. but im not blinkered to think there isnt places like you say and only what i see. places near me had them days too but even them dealers have fucked off now as they are pushed out

its not at as bad now as it was about 1999 but yeh it was as simple as turn up heres you papers heres your room, money etc till we decide if you should stay or not which could take years and then there is appeal which means longer and sometimes its cheaper to say you can stay. which does/did put UK people on the bottom of the list as the folders used to say "not priority"
