Hi guys, I have bought a mk3 fiesta (used to be a 1.6) but now has a escort 1.8gti engine installed. I will describe to best of my knowledge to get better help. Its cammed, with 2 litre injectors, throttle body and maf sensor. When I got car the guy said it needed cams adjusted to idle correctly. I have pulled the plug out the maf sensor and it idles but at high revs around the 1700 mark. Is it possible that it could still have the 1.6 ecu? which is making it not fuel enough for it to idle? I was going to get a 2 litre ecu to see if this rectified problem but dont want to waste money and time if its just the cams needing adjusted as he said they only set to standard spec or to those words. it idles but very rough and sometimes cut out when maf sensor on. could idle screw need adjusted? Any help atal would be awesome as Im trying to get it idling correctly for mot. Dont know if I should have a 2 litre lambda sensor dont know if this would make a diff?
