we have a dyson and the motor burnt out, it was 3 years old so thought i would have to buy another but someone told me to call dyson, gave them a ring and they sent someone out (on a sunday!!) who replaced the motor, cable and anything else that looked knackered and it cost me about £60, well worth it as a new one was 5 times that and its practically new now and has a fresh guarantee

call them if its stuffed as its a much cheaper deal than buying a new one mate.
