Hope you all had a good Christmas?

I am looking ofr some info on the core plugs. I have just found out that my engine has a huge hole in the front and one of the plugs are missing

What would cause this and would there be any other damage to something else due to this or is something knackered to make the plug come out (like frozen pipes) ??

My car was frozen up but the car wasn't started or even tried to be started while it was frozen. Its just that I filled the water bottle up and it satyed in there. When the car defrosted it was empty and when I filled it up the pissed out of the front from the missing core plug hole
