I use both, I have macs for work (design trade) and a pc laptop for home use because it is cheaper and doesn't need to be anything clever.

Now, I can't comment on performance, BUT the mac is so easy to use, so straight forward and simple.

If i was looking for a laptop that I could do lots with, it would be a mac everytime just because i find them simple and easy to use.
