Why? I spent around £400 on mine almost exactly 2 years ago now and it still plays the latest of games (allbeit at 1024x768 due to my LCD monitor)
I have an AMD 2200+, 512Mb PC3200 DDR and a 256mb XFX Geforce 4 (OC'ed up a bit)
So Tiff, if your motherboard can take it (doubtfull in something like a Compaq to be honest) stick another 256Mb DDR ram in and a decent graphics card and you're away!
