I will use the engine bay and tunnel of the scooby but want to keep the Bulkhead, firewall and floor pan of the Ecort if possible. I want it looking standard as possible for now.
The track width
should just be contained by the Series 1 arches hopefully. I would think the first stage of the car will be rough build. Will have just a drivers seat, no carpets, engine and componants not painted up nice just transfered, thenin time if I keep it make it nice. But who knows.

They are bloody awful looking things arent they?
However noone can deny how well they perform, massive tuning scope and lets not forget how well scoobys get off the line

I know it would be nicer to go down the Cosworth route, but, it's been done to death and also a ropey doner Sapphire which hasn't got a fucked engine will be the best part of £4k before we start, whereas this Scooby has not a spot of rust, 300BHP with the proper mods done and I can have it for £700. No brainer really.
