If you feel that he will be better of without you then you can't help that, your feelings could change towards him in 12 months though and you might want more involvement in his life, if you haven't made an effort now then a court/judge will take that into consideration at a later date should you choose to go down some sort of custody route.

dnt worry fella new wot you meant, i do want to be part of his life but at the same time it will b easier for all to jus take a back seat, its hard and confusin, when im ova the initial break up i'll look into it and be able to make the right decision for both me and my son
