Do you have a multimeter? could always try checking the voltage across the battery terminals when the car is running it should be 14 v (or very close) if not then may well indicate the alternator isnt returning what it should. incidentally when its switched off should have 12v across the battery so check that too could be the battery. might just need a new belt only a fiver from europarts.
