I would try and get it higher than that to be honest, 9.5:1 as a minimum for that sort of power.

Cam wise - i'm running around 270 degree duration with around 11mm lift. CAT Cams made my cams to my specs, however, i'm revving to 9000rpm as i've also built a short ratio gearbox...

I've also found the powerworks inlet manifold to be VERY restrictive, i found an improvement of over 30% in the flow figures by careful porting.
