the breather is divided into two inside ,there is a fine mesh that catches the mist, the oil then gathers and runs down the return pipe, the big bottom pipe is designed to go to atmosphere so it should never be blocked/restricted, i've had a breather on all my motors and i cant say ive ever noticed oil coming out the big pipe, just a lovely smell!!
