They will have to be free transfers dicko. sold keano in january for £12m, alonso this summer for £30m, plus a few of the fringe players that added up to around £5m, thats £47m overall. bought johnson for £18m. we bought aquilani for £20m, and that greek defender for £2m, so all in all, rafa has made £47m in sales since january, spent £40m on new players, and theres no money left apparently. so gillett and hicks havnt given rafa ANY money to spend this summer, and have pocketed £7m of the money he made from selling players.
Now im the first one to have a go at rafa over his formations and tactics, but when he doesnt get a transfer kitty, he cant improve the team.
