For the money he has available deffo stick to a 250 2 stroke! Cheaper than a fucked 4 stroke and i think you'll enjoy it more less time worrying more time riding. With 24 years having motocross bikes i have a crf 450 but sometime i like to take my mates yz125 out there just so much fun.
