Club Captains are yes. They attend lots of events and do lots with Kids and charities etc. Club PR is massive these days.

I agree to an extent, but in all likelihood all he has done is gone to a bar he visits regularly and had a few bevvies to unwind. Remember footballers are on pretty strict orders from clubs day in day out, and having the chance to go out and unwind is pretty rare.
On this occasion it's gone wrong, but i wouldnt say Gerrard is the type of person who goes out that regularly.
Can't condone what happened at all, but these people are still human, and still like the odd beer!
