Id have to agree with you!! ive been applying for jobs despite being employed and at interview on several occasions they just arent interested in previous experience over a year old. it just counts for shit. On several occasions ive been asked what makes me think i can do a job when im "only" a security guard at present. It is like everything done before counts for nothing. So 10 years of management experience in a security environment is wiped out in a year meaning im not "experienced" enough to even apply for a supervisors job. its a joke if you ask me! but the employers have the pick of the crop so what can you do???

Thats bollocks in the current climate mate. Theres a lot of people currently doing unskilled/manual labour jobs because its better than no job after being made redundant or losing a skilled job!!!
