Someone changed the wheel bearing in my friends 1.6 2003 focus and decided he would just throw away the abs ring on the drum meaing the abs light came on the dash obv

So ive now put the new abs ring in but does the abs fault light code need deleted with the computer as it is still on.

I tried disconnecting the battery for an hour to see if that would wipe it but it is still on?
