Hang on a minute.Didnt an air france concorde crash in 1999/2000? or am i wrong?

It is terrible news for friends/family but i agree with some comments on here.How can a plane just dissapear?they have Gps etc black boxes,and they must have an idea of where it went down between the time they lost contact and the time the search teams reached the relevant area of lost contact,so surely they could from that create a realistic search radius?
I dont know i dont work for the government and dont proclaim myself to be all knowledgeable god of everything.but come on,with all the technology around now,they should find it,even if they only find the plane....
the media often use scare tactics to subdue the nations into fear and hibernation,u never know they may "find survivors by morning" to show their power or they may not,to scare us into submissal.
governments and media are a powerfull thing,its true to not believe everthing on the radio/television or in the newspapers.
sorry to go on, i do feel for relatives and friends but can they really expect us to believe a plane just dissapeared???
