1. AVO or GAZ?

A bit of basic history, the car is a 1992 3dr 2.3 16V 4x4.
I want to get my suspesion a little better.
Car ISN'T a daily drive or a track car, more of a play thing.

I'm considering coilovers, some say don't bother and use a good spring/shock kit.
The thing is a coilover kit isn't much dearer than say a Koni setup.
I've read GAZ are good but the car might need 'altering' to suit the rears.
AVO do however state they are a direct fit, opinions?

What my main objective is to reduce roll (front really)

When the car was RWD I had H&R springs (FR & R) LIP gas front shocks and Monroe senatrac rears.
24V 29mm front ARB and 24V 18mm rear ARB and strut braces. Handling was nice and well balanced.

Since converting to 4x4 I basically have the same setup but with KYB 4x4 front shocks and a Sierra Cosworth 28mm 4x4 front ARB. I did use the 24V RWD ARB shimmed for extra castor a while, but since fitting the Sierra Cosworth front ARB I'm getting more body roll from the front but better/lighter steering. The 24V ARB was OK but I needed more castor which I just couln't get as it was shimmed as much as it would go. Handling with the shimmed RWD 24V ARB was fine, just that the steering was heavy.

The Sierra Coswoth ARB was 'supposed' to be an Escort Cosworth 29mm one, Still for £20 off ebay you get what you pay for.

ATM I'm 'considering' coilovers but I'm open to sugestgions.
