trouble with stud extractors is that it puts pressure on the wall of the broken stud making the problem worse and nine times out of ten it will snap in the hole or just not grip

Surely if it will come out when being drilled it can't be that tight because as soon as the drill bit gets a hold of anything it should cut off whatever it's biting into? Therefore a normal drill bit with a stud extractor should be fine?
i know what your saying but it has worked a for me in the past, must be something to do with the heat and vibration
