It started doing it awhile ago, just been getting worse over the months. Thought that the cable was stretched and changed it, still the same. Power wise is nothing special.
if there is no clutch slip for sure and you give it loads in first, second ect ect i would say gearbox.
is there any whine when hot or cold or do you here a chatter when cold ect ect and goes when you put the clutch down as the layshaft bearings make a noise when buggered but the synchromesh allows for smooth gear change so if thats going on a gear or gears it gives the fault you describe but without driving it i can only give you the bad news here
