if you have declared a CAT1 system on your car, then YES they DO invalidate your insurance as they invalidate the CAT1 certification, therefore voiding your insurance.
rs shawn, if you read, we said use the fan going off as a "general rule of thumb" meaning generally by the time the fan has turned off, its given enough time for the turbo to cool down (ie. 2 mins)
