the pictures don't really show how uneven the ground is where the lorries have been in and out of the building site dropping off stuff
there is a bit of tarmac that's been repaired that is higher up than the rest of the surface (where the builders on the site had dug a hole into the ground and hooked up to the electric mains to power their tools

) and there are 2 distinct depressions where the tarmac has been sufficiently squashed to allow lots of puddling of water when it rains
