I never had to do any cleaning up @ home, pay housekeeping or anything. Pocket money was high and never had to ask why I got it. Now, I am a messy bastard (although I do have moments of "OCD" round the house. My cars are (almost) always clean though, along with all my tools. Probably because I had to earn and pay for them that I look after them so well.
I do agree, kids need the discipline or they end up spoilt (like I was/am) and I can genuinely talk from experience, unlike most people.
